Employee Support and Communication
- Primary Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for employees within the department.
- Issue Resolution: Address employee concerns, complaints, and queries efficiently.
- Engagement: Ensure open lines of communication between management and staff to enhance transparency and trust.

Employee Training and Development
- Training Needs Assessment: Identify skill gaps and co-ordinate with the departments to create tailored training programmes.
- Career Development: Support employees in their professional development through workshops, seminars, and continuous learning and development opportunities.
- Performance Support: Provide resources and tools to help employees perform effectively, meet performance expectations and achieve career goals.

Performance Management
- Appraisals: Co-ordinate the performance appraisal process to evaluate employee achievements and areas for improvement.
- Feedback and Coaching: Provide regular feedback and guidance to employees, ensuring alignment with department objectives.
- Goal Setting: Work with managers and employees to set clear performance goals that support organizational aims.

Employee Relations
- Conflict Resolution: Actively resolve conflicts and foster positive relationships within the department.
- Employee Well-being: Manage programmes aimed at improving employee engagement, health, and well-being.
- Workplace Culture: Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment.

HR Administration and Compliance
- Record-Keeping: Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records, including attendance, performance, and leave.
